See the best that the South Island has to offer. Depart Christchurch and travel along the Pacific to see the wonderful Moeraki Boulders and hidden gems in the Catlins. Check off the “Southernmost Point of the South Island” from your Bucket List. Be awed by the 8th Wonder of the World at the Milford Sound. Experience adrenaline in Queenstown. Enjoy a gorgeous drive from Wanaka through the Lindis Valley to Omarama. Soak in the Lake Tekapo Springs before returning to Christchurch.

Price is per person based on a double occupancy.

Day 1
Christchurch - Moeraki Boulders - Dunedin

Meet in Christchurch. Stop by Timaru’s Caroline Bay to check out little blue penguins (optional). Head to Dunedin and walk up the steepest street in the world. Dinner and rest for the evening.

Day 2
Dunedin - The Catlins - Te Anau

Depart Dunedin bright and early for a full-day tour. First, a short visit to the unique Moeraki Boulders for photographs. Then we will head south to The Catlins to visit the Nugget Point Lighthouse, spot sea lions on the beach, take a short walk to McLean Falls, and stand on the southernmost point of the South Island. Drive to Te Anau and rest for the night.

Day 3
Te Anau - Milford Sound - Queenstown

Drive 3.5 hours to Milford Sound. Embark on a 2-hour cruise and see spectacular waterfalls up close, take photographs of marine life, and enjoy gorgeous scenery all around. Drive 1.5 hours to Te Anau, a small, charming lakeside town to rest for the night. 

Day 4
Te Anau - Glenorchy - Queenstown

Take a 2.5 hour scenic drive to Glenorchy for a photo stop at the photogenic Red Shed. Head to Queenstown for some free time to explore or do activities in Queenstown on your own.

Day 5
Queenstown - Wanaka - Lake Tekapo

Free time in the morning to enjoy a stroll at the Queenstown lakefront. Drive one hour to Wanaka for lunch. Learn about the significance of the #ThatWanakaTree. Enjoy a scenic drive through Lindis Valley to Omarama to check out the natural rock formation known as the Omarama Clay Cliffs. Drive on to Lake Tekapo to stop for the night.

Day 6
Lake Tekapo - Christchurch

Visit the renowned Church of the Good Shepherd to learn about the honourable Mackenzie Dogs. Head over to Tekapo Springs for a nice soak before heading back to Christchurch with a brief stop at the Rakaia Gorge to learn about the town's historical bridge. An extra one-hour drive will take us back to Christchurch. Either drop off in the city or at the airport.
