About Deaf Adventures
Deaf Adventures aims to provide Deaf people and sign language users from around the globe with the opportunity to embark on thrill-filled adventures that are fully accessible. No longer are the days of Deaf people joining tours only to struggle to develop connections with others, become confused at instructions, and miss out on valuable information. Our Deaf-led tours are fully accessible, and range from weekend trips to full-week holidays, from beginners’ walking to advanced tramping, and from city/historical tours to adrenaline-filled activities. The best adventure of your life awaits you.

Founder / Tour Guide
Rachel Soudakoff was born and raised in Los Angeles, California in a Deaf family. After traveling to 54 countries, she decided to make her favorite country – New Zealand – her home. She has two years of experience of managing and operating tours around the world in sign language. When she’s not traveling, she’s researching hidden gems at her next destination.
Rachel Berry is a native Deaf New Zealander who, like many Kiwis, thrives on adventure and the outdoors. She has organised numerous leadership camps, group trips, and social events. Her favourite adventures thus far are biking the Otago Rail Trail, hiking the Abel Tasman Track, and exploring Patuna Chasm.
